Want to live an intentional and crafty life? Need some fairy tale moments in your day? I’m Melissa and I am so very hoppy you have hopped over to visit to find inspiration.
My blog began because I have had loads of friends who kept telling me I needed to share my creativity and my creations. Being an English teacher, writing and sharing on a blog just seemed to be a natural fit. Little did I know how much technology I would learn and the treasured friendships I would find along the way!
Because my home is now an empty nest, my husband and I are finally unpacking the attic boxes after our move from Arizona in 2003. We now have some “extra” time on our hands because we are not taking our girls to their activities, traveling to competitions, or most recently, the planning of their 2 weddings within 3 years. Yes, they asked mom to create 225 invitations for each wedding, along with other special wedding decorations. I have lived your mom life and have loads of tips and tricks for Intentional Living.
We have lived in our home for 14 years and while we love our home, it needs updating and new decor both inside and out. I also love decorating for holidays and events, but I prefer to create and craft my own decor. Follow along while we share our projects and DIY directions for seasonal crafts.
Craftiness and the arts has always been a part of my family. My great grandfathers both owned a dance studio and painted. My dad was a stained glass artist. My grandmother was a professional seamstress who also knitted and crocheted. I was blessed to inherit the genes! Check out the All Things Yarn on the blog to see my work.
My favorite thing in the world is to create gifts for friends and family. It gives me great joy to see the smile on someone’s face when they receive a hand made gift.
I bet you didn’t know…..
*I have loved frogs since I was in the fifth grade. I have one in every room of the house.
*Green is my favorite color (I wonder why?)
*I love creating and decorating for parties and holidays
*My husband and I love to attend racing events. We have been to Indianapolis, Talladega, Daytona, Phoenix, and Texas Motor Speedways.
