Halloween: It’s not just for kids anymore. Halloween as really grown commercially over the past 25 years. As a kid, I remember it was a big deal to purchase a costume with a plastic face mask and use a pillow case for a treat bag. Decorating was not a big deal- just a carved pumpkin with a candle inside. Today, Halloween costumes and decor is a BIG Deal; however, personally, I do not care for the scary. I prefer cute and whimsical which, is often difficult to find in the stores. But, thanks to Pinterest, my Halloween Pinterest Board has loads of cute, whimsical, and inspirational ideas. So, let’s get creative and intentional to make cute Halloween decor starting with Halloween Boo Candlesticks.
Halloween Boo Candlesticks idea comes to life
While surfing my Pinterest feed, I found some super cute candlesticks holding pumpkins which spelled “Boo”. This was a cute idea; however, I didn’t want the pumpkins. Also, finding the candlesticks without paying a fortune could be difficult unless luck at a garage sale happened. Luck is not always on my side; but, my find at Home Depot is a close second. Wooden letters are found everywhere, so no problems there. Add paint, glitter, and ribbon and it is time to get crafty!
Materials for Halloween Boo Candlesticks

- 2 Wood table legs- 9 inch $3.98 x 2

Remove the screw from the bottom of the chair leg.
Then, paint the chair legs and letters. Allow to dry.
“Paint” Modge Podge on the letters and sprinkle glitter. Allow to dry.
Hot glue the letters to the top of the chair legs. Add ribbon and spider web.
That’s it! This project is super simple and the results are oh so cute. This year, I will use my Halloween Boo Candlesticks on my Dining Room table; however, next year, I might use them on my coffee table in a vignette.
Speaking of tables, did you see my Custom Fall Napkin Rings? Next up, I will be creating Custom Halloween napkins rings for my Halloween table since I have not found some which are inexpensive and cute.
