Fall Napkin rings. A small detail with great importance to your fall table scape. As I began work on my 2 Fall dining room tables, I had everything except….. napkin rings. UGH!!! I have been super busy lately and didn’t think about napkin rings. Spending loads of money was not an option, so it was time to get creative and intentional. While digging in a closet, I found some cheap plastic shower curtain rings I happened to have on hand and started thinking. With some ribbon and some wired fall acorns, fall napkin rings will make your table look amazing.

I came across a great tutorial from my friend Debbie at Chatham Hill on the Lake. This tutorial helped me to get my fall table together in a flash! My placements and table runners were pulled from the attic. Step one, complete! Then, I found some great, new charger plates on sale for $1.50 at Michaels- SCORE! Step 2- DONE! Next up- the border plate. I used my current china plates. Being they were white with a touch of gold, they picked up the white pumpkins I plan to incorporate into the decor at Halloween.
I was super happy with my results and had spent only 10 minutes of my precious time putting the table together. It was now time for the napkin rings and I stopped in my tracks. There was not a single napkin ring in my home, never mind fall napkin rings. Sorting the cobwebs of my brain I thought about what I could possibly have around the house. Deep in a closet, I found a box of old apartment items from one of my daughters. I quickly sorted through the box and found plastic Walmart shower rings. Hmmmmmm……..
What you will need to create your Fall Napkin Rings:
- Plastic Shower Curtain Rings –24 for $1.00 at Dollar Tree!!!
Hot glue the edge of the ribbon to the inside of the shower ring.
Wrap the ribbon around the ring. Make sure it overlaps. Hot glue the ribbon edge down on the inside after wrapping the ring. Don’t cover the part that snaps because your napkin can lay flat over and cover it.
It took about 15 minutes to create 4 napkin rings. I added some little acorns and my napkins and here is the final result:
Here is my kitchen table with the napkin rings proudly displayed.
